Previously based only in Kenya, Sound creations Ltd expands operations by opening a subsidiary in Kigali Rwanda. Motivated by the acquisition of distribution rights for Yamaha in Rwanda, the new establishment began operations in May 2018. Sound Creations Rwanda will also cater for the market in Burundi, Congo and other neighboring countries. The showroom is located on the premises of Smart Inn Hotel Muhima KN1 Road Kigali.

Rwanda enjoys a rich cultural heritage and strategic positioning, making it the preferred choice for Sound Creations Ltd. Music and Dance are an integral part of Rwandan ceremonies, festival, social gatherings and storytelling. The country also has a growing popular music industry, influenced by East African, Congolese and American music.

Although the new market like most African countries is flawed by counterfeit audio visual equipment, the first mandate of this young establishment will be to sensitize and introduce easily available quality equipment. To kick start this process, was a visit from Mr. Keisuke Suzuki, General Manager Sales and Marketing for Yamaha Music Gulf in April. The 3-day visit equipped the team of 9 with important insights on Yamaha products, as they continue to train on the other household brands under the Sound Creations family like dB Technologies, Shure and Rode.
